When are DVD-RW disks going to get faster than 2.4x ?
I have been able to burn a data-cdrw at 4x (which was the highest the disc supported). The discs I want to use for audio are suitable for 1-16x. Is there any way to burn audio at 2x or 4x speed? Would this require a firmware update or something like that or is it just a sofware setting? (I use win XP pro)

At that time the Zip can attain a write speed of 20mb per minute. If I start without a disc in the drive or with 'imgicon.exe' active at my last session then write speed is back to I also installed the win9552.exe update although it did not extract itself into individual files as the Iomega site said it would.
